This document outlines our response to each of the Committee’s recommendations.ħ. Government has carefully considered the recommendations made by the Committee. The Committee published their final report on 24 November 2020. Lord Greenhalgh, Minister for Building Safety and Communities, appeared before the Committee alongside Government officials on 19 October 2020.Ħ. The Government supported the Select Committee’s scrutiny, providing factsheets to explain some of the more complex policies and participating in oral evidence sessions. ![]() A list of the witnesses who appeared at each session is available in Annex B.ĥ. The Committee held eight public evidence sessions across September and October 2020. The Housing, Communities and Local Government Select Committee conducted pre-legislative scrutiny of the draft Bill, launching a call for evidence on 5 August 2020.
